Eleanor A. Stegmeier
Eleanor Stegmeier has been a Certified Specialist in the field of Family Law since 1983.
She is a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers where she is a Director on the Foundation board - the charitable arm of the AAML. She is also a fellow in the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.
She is a Founding Fellow of the Society of Fellows of the Orange County Bar Association.
She is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and its Family Law Section where she served on its Executive Board for over 10 years including a year as its president and was one of the founders of its education committee.
She was a member of the State Bar of California's Family Law Advisory Commission for four years, including two years as its Chairperson.
From 1981 to present, she has been a lecturer statewide on family law subjects on behalf of numerous educational organizations.
She was the recipient of the Family Law Trial Lawyer of the Year award from the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association. She is also the recipient of the prestigious Charles Garrity Award given periodically by the Family Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association for excellence and professionalism in the practice of Family Law.
In each year that Orange Coast Magazine published its list of best lawyers she was named as a recipient of that distinction.
She has been named in the LATimes magazine's Super Lawyers designation each year since its inception in 2004.
She is also named in Best Lawyers which is published by U.S. News and in 2010 was named Best Lawyers in America - "Orange County Family Lawyer of the Year".
